Through your generous contribution to Gifts and Memorials, God’s work and our church will continue to be blessed.

How can I leave a lasting legacy?

Brecksville United Methodist Church’s Gifts and Memorials and the Living Memorial Trust Fund provide unique opportunities for you and your family to make a gift to the church that will promote the work and ministry of the church today, and for generations to come. Gifts and Memorials consist of three different funds and additional giving opportunities.

The Gifts and Memorials Committee, current church members, and future generations thank past, present, and future donors for your generosity.

How are gifts used?

The church has an established Gifts and Memorials Committee that works with professional investment counsel and makes recommendations to church leaders about fund management, ensuring all funds are sustained and grown.

The same committee accepts funding requests from other church committees and Brecksville United Methodist Church staff members. A few examples of the projects and programs supported (in part of whole) by the annual earnings from the invested funds are listed below.

  • New sanctuary windows
  • Sanctuary air conditioning
  • Hand bells, electronic keyboard and electric guitar
  • New refrigerator – church kitchen
  • Bourne Reading Room refurbished
  • Timeline wall mural – 200th anniversary
  • Youth Room renovated
  • Church telephone and voice mail system; camera
  • Memorial Hill annual maintenance

By these gifts God’s work and house have been blessed.
