About Joy Parker

Joy Fenton

Joy (Fenton) Parker is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University with a BS in Music Education. In 2014 she completed her Master of Arts degree at John Carroll University, having focused her study on the shift of the religious climate amongst millennials and post-modernists. Joy has been at Brecksville United Methodist Church since 2007 and spent her early years at the church directing the music program.

Joy is passionate about exploring the ways that faith can--and should--inform our day-to-day lives. As the Director of Outreach and Development, she is eager to provide new and non-traditional opportunities for spiritual growth that might appeal to individuals who have not yet found a faith home. The opportunity to follow Jesus and serve others is a message worth sharing, and Joy is committed to helping each person at Brecksville United Methodist Church learn how they can spread the good news!

Joy currently serves as the head of the East Ohio Conference Reconciling Ministries Network, committed to helping churches discover how they can become more safe and inclusive places. She also sits on the Executive Board of the Cleveland Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, is the Music Director for the Brecksville Broadview Heights Community Chorus, and directs the BBH Community Youth Chorus.
