He is Risen!
“You can see for yourselves the place is now empty.  Now - on your way.”

A wise person once said, “The first step to wisdom is silence; the second is listening.” And then, “Silence sits immense upon my soul. Then comes hope with a smile and whispers.” –Helen Keller

I think that silence can be used in a few different ways. It has been known to nurture pouting, anger and hatred. Far better uses for silence are reflecting, meditating and listening. Perhaps it is only when we stand silent before the evidence of resurrection that surrounds us at this time of year, that we can begin to sense the still, small voice of God that whispers in our soul. You are never ever alone, even when you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I am with you. You are loved beyond your knowing and experience. So much so that this life you enjoy continues in incredible ways beyond your sense of “now”.  You are a spiritual being in the middle of a human experience. When your physical being gives way, your spirit will soar. All of this is spoken to us in the middle of an empty space that we have termed a “tomb”.

Happy Easter! May you experience resurrection moments in empty spaces, both in creation that so poignantly surrounds you, and in the very depths of your hearts.
