United Women in Faith Program, Thursday, April 3

Interested in Native American history in this area? Join us on Thursday, April 3 as Peg Bobel and Linda Whitman discuss their new book “Native Americans of the Cuyahoga Valley.” From early pre contact peoples to today’s Native American community, the book is a collection of essays by local experts in their fields. Topics include the legacy effects of federal Indian boarding schools and this history of Native Americans in the Cuyahoga Valley.

The book is part of the Ohio History and Culture collection published by the University of Akron Press.

Books will be available for sale before the presentation from 9 am – 10 am, or afterwards at 11 am. The authors will be available to sign your copies!

Join us for refreshments at 9:30 am and stay for the presentation at 10 am in the church parlor on the second floor.
