Maundy Thursday

On Maundy Thursday, we will share in a light meal and conversation in Fellowship Hall as we remember the Last Supper. Through scripture, prayer and the celebration of Holy Communion, we will remind ourselves of God’s unwavering presence in any “in between” we may face. If you can’t join us in person, set aside time to join us for a special “online only” worship experience streaming at 7 pm - and available anytime after that.

    Worship in the Sanctuary

    PALM / PASSION SUNDAY everything in between shouting & silence Luke 19:29-40 (Jesus enters Jerusalem) Jesus doesn’t instigate his own parade. Instead, just his quiet presence alone inspires the multitude to shout out and praise God. When the religious leaders try to silence the crowd, Jesus tells them that the noise level isn’t the point—even the stones would cry out if they were silent. It takes wisdom to know when our voice is needed and when it’s just noise.

    Contemplative Worship Service

    This is our final contemplative worship service of the 2024-25 season. Our Contemplative Worship Service focuses on the word of God. Come experience this unique opportunity to be still and know, with quiet simple songs, prayer and scripture. Join us in Fellowship Hall or with our audio only online live stream or podcast. Join us on Easter Sunday, April 20, at our 7 am Sunrise Service on the front lawn. On April 27, we have one worship service, at 10:30, we're calling “The State of the Church.” On Sunday, May 4, our Outdoor Worship service begins, with worship on the lawn every Sunday morning at 8:30 as the weather permits through fall.

    Worship in the Sanctuary

    THE FIFTH SUNDAY IN LENT everything between righteousness & mercy Luke 19:1-10 (Zacchaeus greets Jesus) The crowds grumble at Jesus’ self-invitation to stay with Zacchaeus, and their righteous indignation isn’t without cause. As a tax collector, Zacchaeus has extorted money and acted in collusion with the empire, using his position to oppress his own people. It is important to call out oppression, and yet, Jesus offers mercy. That mercy then begets more mercy as Zacchaeus, unprompted, offers to return what he took, and then some.
