As the holiday season approaches, we have many wonderful opportunities to come together and serve our community with love and joy. Below are some upcoming Joyful Gatherings where your talents and hearts are needed in November and December 2025.
Town Hall – Sunday, November 9 (After 10:30 AM Service)
What’s Needed:
- Set up tables and chairs
- Prepare beverages
- Organize food
- Assist with a kids’ activity table
- Help with clean-up
Why It Matters: This is a chance for our congregation to connect, share, and plan for the future. Your presence will make it a welcoming and engaging experience for all.
Hanging of the Greens – Sunday, November 23 (11:30 AM)
What’s Needed:
- Set up tables
- Prepare beverages
- Arrange plates for pizza
- Assist with clean-up
Why It Matters: Decorating our church together sets the tone for the Advent season and fosters a sense of community and tradition.
Brecksville Christmas Parade with Cookies and Cocoa – Sunday, November 30 (Time TBD)
What’s Needed:
- Set up to welcome the community into our Fellowship Hall
- Serve cookies and cocoa
- Assist with clean-up
Cookies and cocoa will be provided by the city.
Why It Matters: This event is a joyful way to share the warmth of our church with the wider community during the parade festivities.
Advent Supper with Soup – Wednesday, December 3 (7:00 PM)
What’s Needed:
- Prepare a crock of soup or a dessert to complement the staff’s offerings.
Why It Matters: Sharing this meal and special worship service together during Advent allows us to reflect, connect, and prepare our hearts for the season.
Christmas Eve After 5 PM Service – Wednesday, December 24 (6:00 PM)
What’s Needed:
- Assist with setting up and cleaning up the Christmas Tacos dinner after the 5 PM family service.
Why It Matters: Being present during this special time ensures that our church family feels welcomed and cared for during the Christmas Eve celebrations.
