July 13 – 18, 2026

In July 2025, a team of UMC volunteers from Ohio traveled to North Carolina to assist in the recovery efforts after Hurricane Helene. Among them was a great group of folks from Brecksville UMC: Brian, Becky & Abigail Bendlak, George & Jenny Gee, Michelle Orr and Kathy & Matt Auble.

Another group is forming for this summer. If you’re interested in this kind of hands on mission, the 2026 Climate Justice Mission Journey will be traveling to Wisconsin (likely Milwaukee area) to assist with flood clean-up after last summer’s torrential rains. At last count, more than 7,000 homes were still waiting for assistance!

The dates of the mission journey will be July 13-18, 2026, and the initial cost estimate is $200 per person (which includes food & housing in a local church – other accommodations can be made for an additional cost).
