A Harmony of Hearts: Join Us for Our “Sing for Unity” Worship Service
The Sunday after Easter is often a time of quiet reflection, but this year, we are filling our sanctuary with a different kind of spirit. On Sunday, Apri 12 at 10:30, we invite you to a special stand-alone worship service dedicated entirely to music and the powerful theme of “Sing for Unity.”
If you were part of Sing for Unity last October, you remember the profound energy in the room as we joined voices with thousands of people around the globe in a simultaneous worldwide event. The result was nothing short of holy. We are bringing that same spirit back to our local church for a morning of song, story, and connection.
Why come if you “aren’t a singer”?
This service isn’t just for those who can carry a tune; it’s for everyone who wants to feel the strength of a community coming together. Music has a unique way of reaching parts of our souls that words alone cannot. Whether you have a soaring soprano voice or prefer to listen in prayerful silence, your presence adds a vital “note” to the harmony of our congregation.
What to Expect:
Our Music Director, Machala Comenschek-Slike, will guide us through the morning, sharing the rich history and deep meaning behind the songs we share. Our talented choir is preparing stirring arrangements, and we will be blessed by several special performances.
Our set list is still being determined, but will be inspired by powerful anthems of peace and togetherness, such as:
- Let There Be Peace on Earth
- Lift Every Voice and Sing
- We Shall Overcome
- What a Wonderful World
- Contemporary favorites like Build Your Kingdom Here and A New Hallelujah
This is more than just a concert; it is an act of worship. It is a chance to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with your neighbors and affirm our shared hope for a more unified world.
Come be part of the “wonderful spirit in the room” that made our last musical service so unforgettable. We can’t wait to see—and hear—you there!
