Chili Cook Off 2025

Spicing Things Up: Chili Cook-Off Raises $1,200 for Mission Trip!

What do you get when you mix delicious recipes, a supportive church family, and a shared mission? A winning combination! Through generous donations and some friendly competition, our 2025 Chili Cook-off raised an impressive $1,200 for missions.

Fellowship Hall was filled with friends, fun and music for a spicy good time! The judges – Matt Vann (Jolly Scholar), Otto Tyson (Cleveland Foundation), Jonathan Gray (Trials for Hope) and Doug Huth (BUMC) had the difficult task of selecting the Judge’s Choice winners.

The funds raised will support the team traveling to North Carolina in July to love our neighbors and serve those still recovering from the treacherous storms that went through last year. We are so grateful for everyone who cooked, tasted, and contributed to this awesome event! – Submitted by Kim Vann, Missions & Community Engagement Team
