Contemplative Worship

October 5, 2025 through March 29, 2026 – Our Contemplative Worship Service meets in Fellowship Hall (on the ground floor of the church) Sundays at 8:30 am.

Fall through spring, we move indoors for a unique worship opportunity – our Contemplative Worship Service. With a focus on achieving a direct, intimate, and experiential relationship with the Triune God through prayer and contemplation, this evolving worship experience features ancient practices of the early Christian Church.

The founder of Methodism, John Wesley, had a profound personal experience where his “heart was strangely warmed,” giving him assurance of God’s salvation. In this worship service, we will utilize spiritual practices as a way of placing ourselves before God so we can encounter God in a new and personal way.

Spiritual practices, both ancient and modern, can connect us to one another, our innermost selves, and the Divine. This evolving worship service makes space for moments of contemplation, prayerful reflection, and thankfulness. Expect new experiences throughout the season in this evolving service.
