About Shannon

Shannon joined our staff as Finance Manager in October 2024, and continued in that role while taking on the position of Youth Director in April 2026.

For Shannon, a lifelong lover of organization, numbers and helping people to feel support and connection in real ways, managing the finances for a community like Brecksville UMC is a dream come true! Her work experience includes finance (including book keeping and payroll), human resources, executive support, customer service, copy editing and more. Her positive and helpful disposition makes her a great fit for our team.

Shannon brings her experience with small groups, youth, and children’s ministry from Grace Church, as well as education in child and adolescent development to her role as Youth Director. She has an undeniable passion for teenagers, deep theological background, and a love of questions and wonder that make her a great fit for this position, too.

Shannon is a wife to a wonderful human named Benny, and a mom to 5 other fabulous beings – 3 amazing human ones, and 2 fluffy ones with four paws.

In the (not entirely abundant) free time she has left, she’s a bookworm to the extreme and loves to sit in the woods and read for as many hours as she can get away with.

Shannon works remotely on Mondays, and you can find her at church Tuesday – Thursday and Sunday.
