Introducing the Hype Squad—our church’s newest way to show up big for our young people! As United Methodists, our baptismal covenant calls us to actively walk alongside our kids and surround them with a community of love. The Hype Squad makes that promise actionable and fun. Our youth share their upcoming events— from sports to robotics to theater productions to exams —and our church community shows up in the crowd to cheer them on, or quietly adds them to their prayers. Scan the list below. Let’s show our youth that their church is their biggest fan.
Two of our 2026 Confirmands have events in July!

Music Recital – Come enjoy a musical performance as Brandon Houff shares violin pieces he has been working on. Sunday, July 5 at 1 pm in the church Sanctuary. He will perform 7 works, mostly if not all by memory, by composers Bach, Vivaldi, Bohm, and Seitz. He will be accompanied by his mother, Hilary, on piano and will be joined on the last work by his teacher James Rhodes on viola and his father, Michael, on violin. The performance will last roughly 45 minutes. Guests are welcome to come and go, though it’s best to do so between pieces.

Spongebob The Musical – Youth Edition: Micah Carter is part of The Strongsville Community Theatre’s production at the Strongsville High School’s Main Auditorium with performances from July 9 through July 12. Showtimes are at 7:30 pm (Thursday through Saturday) and 2 pm (Sunday matinee). Tickets available through the Community Theater website: strongsvillecommunitytheatre.com
