(September 4, 1928 – October 3, 2025) – Jean passed away peacefully at home at the age 97. She was the beloved wife of the late Gus Vastartis, Mother of Bonnie, Mark (Catherine), Diane & Dean (deceased). Sister to Bill, Isabell, Lee & Dewy. Grandmother of five, James (Amanda), Dave (Allyson), Steven, Kevin & Alex (Jessica). Great -Grandmother of twelve, Ava, Ryleigh, Emily, Gabriel, Logan, Natalie, Harper, Emma, Trevor, Hadley, Nikolai, & Hudson. She loved her family, singing, poetry and bowling. Her warm smile and gentle spirit will be greatly missed.

A service celebrating her life will be held at Brecksville United Methodist Church Friday, October 17, 2025.  Calling hours from 3 – 4.  Service in the Sanctuary at 4 pm, Rev. Heidi Welch officiating. A light dinner following the service will be served from 4-6 pm in Fellowship Hall.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the charity of your choice in Jean’s memory.
