Brecksville United Methodist Church, a religious community serving Northeast Ohio for over 200 years, is searching for a new team member to manage and monitor the financial health of the church. This position reports to the senior pastor and Leadership Board.

Job Overview
The Finance Manager – Part Time will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the church, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and managing financial risks.
THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION – Eight hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Manage cash flow, forecasting, budgeting and reporting.
- Prepare analyses of financial position utilizing forecasts to inform church decision-making
- Perform general ledger reconciliation.
- Oversee accounts payable.
- Conduct account analysis and reconciliation.
- Handle payroll functions.
- Manage church accounting activities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Proficiency in financial concepts and practices.
- Knowledge of governmental accounting principles.
- Ability to perform general ledger reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of cash management techniques.
- Familiarity with account analysis and reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets.
Strongly Preferred Experience
- Experience in a church or other non-profit accounting practices.
- Experience in regulatory reporting.
- Experience working with a board or similar governance model.
