Know Your Rights Training

Join us to explore how Constitutional rights and the Golden Rule empower us to love and protect our neighbors in every season.

Jesus tells us that the greatest commandment is to love God and love our neighbor as ourselves. This love isn’t just a feeling; it’s a commitment to the well-being of everyone in our community.

To help us live into this calling with wisdom and clarity, we are hosting a “Know Your Rights” training on Sunday, February 22 from 12 to 2 pm.

In a changing world, fear often stems from the unknown. This workshop—facilitated by Cleveland Peace Action and the Interreligious Task Force—is designed to replace that fear with facts.

We will cover:

  • Our Constitutional Foundation: A review of First Amendment rights that protect all of us.
  • Faithful Hospitality: Practical ways to assist neighbors and families during times of uncertainty or immigration enforcement.
  • Strengthening Democracy: How informed citizens contribute to a peaceful, orderly, and just society.

While our local context may feel quiet, being “prepared in season and out of season” is a scriptural virtue (2 Timothy 4:2). This is not about politics; it is about being the hands and feet of Christ for anyone who might find themselves on the margins.

Please join us for a time of learning.
