Some have called it one of the most powerful and meaningful pieces in music history – Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection”.
Join our own Michael Houff on Friday, February 28 at 7 pm in the Chapel of Brecksville United Methodist Church for an introduction to the symphony, historical context of this particular piece and a translation of the text which is sung in German.
Then plan to attend the event at Akron’s BJ Thomas Hall on Saturday, March 1. Tickets start at just $20 and are just $7 for children and students. (You must purchase the tickets through EJ Thomas Hall.)
