At Brecksville United Methodist Church we are unabashedly authentic in our lifelong quest to grow with God and learn with one another, with age appropriate opportunities for all ages.
Our early childhood education programs are designed to meet children where they are and to develop sticky faith that will give kids a foundation for lifelong growth with God. Caring teachers and helpers make learning fun, with plenty of opportunities to develop lasting friendships.

Sundays at 9:30 – Who’s Who In the Bible?
(This is an update from Sunday at the Movies!) Come discover the heroes, helpers, and even the surprising characters of the Bible! Kids of all ages are invited to join their teachers at 9:30 in Room 402 for a short video that answers big questions:
- Whatâs their story?
- Â How does it connect to my life?
- Â And what does it show us about God?
After the video, the fun keeps going with games and activities that bring the story to life. Come ready to learn, laugh, and maybe even be surprised at what (or who!) youâll discover.

Sundays at 10:30 – Sprouts and Seedlings
Following the Childrenâs Moment in the 10:30 worship service, kids join their teachers to learn Bible stories while playing games, making crafts and enjoying other activities that help bring the stories to life.
Seedlings A gentle, âold-schoolâ style class perfect for younger children and anyone who enjoys a quieter setting. Children will hear Bible stories, pray together, and enjoy simple, hands-on activities at an unhurried pace. Families may choose Seedlings for children of any age.
Sprouts A lively, rotation-style class where we explore the same Bible story for six weeks through different learning stationsâscience, cooking, storytelling, games, video, music, and crafts. This class is designed for older kids with more independence; children must be in 1st grade or higher to join Sprouts.
Whichever path you choose, your child will experience Godâs love, engage with scripture, and build lasting friendships. Both these classes meet following the Childrenâs Moment at the 10:30 service. Kids can be picked up in Rooms 401 or 402 after service ends.
Why does Sprouts and Seedlings start after the Childrenâs Moment? So kids can experience worship with their families. The Childrenâs Moment takes place each Sunday after the welcome, opening prayer and opening song.
The Wiggle Room is Open Sundays
Mr. Matt leads a team of volunteers to care for our littlest ones in the Wiggle Room. Each caregiver is trained with Safer Sanctuaries and has completed a background check. Your child’s safety is our highest priority. After all, we are all about creating safe spaces to grow with God and one another!
